Mr. John Blackburn

Co-Athletic Director

John Blackburn, better know as Digger, began his position as Co-Athletic Director in 2019.  He is also an assistant coach for the St. Raymond baseball team and has coached girls’ basketball.  

John is a graduate of St. Mary Nativity and Joliet Catholic Academy.  He attended the University of Miami before deciding to go to the Jim Evans Academy of Professional Umpires.  After graduating JEAPU, he went on to umpire for 5 years in the minor leagues.  

John lives in Joliet with his two daughters: Joey (Class of 2023) and Jordan (Class of 2024).
