Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Opportunities

The success of a school is dependent on the support received by parents.  At the Cathedral of St. Raymond School, we believe in our mission of educating our students in a challenging, Christ-centered environment and we look to parents for their leadership in providing their time and talent to aid in our efforts in reaching this point of excellence.  From volunteering in the classrooms, chaperoning field trips, coaching our athletic teams, acting as a parent ambassador or chairing or working a fundraising event, every family is encouraged to make a meaningful commitment of time and energy to St. Ray’s School.  This is particularly important in staffing our signature fundraising events, including OktoberFest, Spaghetti Dinner and Rocket Walk. While volunteer hours are not required, we ask that every family give a minimum of 20 hours of their time.

Volunteer Compliance

Diocesan policy requires all volunteers to complete several steps to become compliant volunteers able to work with students at St. Raymond School. There are several requirements, including but not limited to: participation in a Protecting God’s Children workshop, agreement to diocesan policies and standards, and a background check.

To learn more about the steps required of our volunteers, to view upcoming workshop dates or to get started toward compliance, please visit www.virtusonline.org. If you need additional information or have questions regarding volunteering at St. Ray’s, please contact Kelly Alt at kalt@csrn.org.
