Mrs. Dora Ruiz

2nd Grade Teacher

Dora E. Ruiz is a dedicated educator, mother of four, and lifelong learner. A proud graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Bachelor’s degree in Latino Studies, she is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Teaching through the Teacher Preparation Program at St. Xavier University, with an expected graduation in 2026. For the past seven years, Dora has served as both a substitute teacher and paraprofessional at Mokena Elementary School, bringing passion and commitment to her students every day. Outside the classroom, she is a devoted wife to her husband Oscar, and a loving mother to Alex, Ben, Oscar Lorenzo, and Olivia.
