Mrs. Emily Kazak

5th Grade Teacher

Emily Kazak began teaching at the Cathedral of St. Raymond in 2025 as a 5^th grade teacher. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Augustana College, with a minor in music. A product of Catholic grade school herself, Emily was deeply shaped by the rhythm of faith and service from an early age and by her love of the rosary. After time away from the classroom, she returned to education with a renewed sense of calling and a passion for helping children grow in both confidence and character.

Emily was born and raised in Joliet and still resides there with her husband, Greg (Class of 1997), and their two children, Mason (Class of 2030) and Madeline (Class of 2032). Emily is rooted in the Croatian community, sharing her love and knowledge of music and serving as a board member for the Sloboda Junior Tamburitzans (501c). She also enjoys home decorating, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. In her classroom, she values connection, creativity and a commitment to a joyful excellence that nurtures lifelong learners.
