She loves teaching junior high ELA and helping students grow not just in reading and writing, but also in confidence, reflection, and awareness of the world around them.
Ms. Hilke earned her B.S. in History with a minor in Criminal Justice from Northwest Missouri State University and later completed her Middle and Secondary Education Certification through the College of Saint Mary in Omaha, Nebraska. She is certified to teach English Language Arts and earned her Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology from Lewis University in 2014.
Outside the classroom, she enjoys gardening, biking, and spending time with her family. She and her husband share their home with Luke, their quirky and lovable dog, and are kept on their toes by their four grandkids.
