Mrs. Nina Doom

Resource Teacher (4th-8th)

Nina Doom was born and raised in Joliet, where she attended St. Jude School and Joliet Catholic Academy. She earned a double major in Elementary and Special Education from the University of Saint Francis and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Autism Spectrum Disorders from Arizona State University. With 16 years of experience in the field of Special Education, Nina has made significant contributions, including starting the Autism programs at both Lockport District 92 and Joliet District 86. She has also taught vocational education at Yorkville High School. 

Mrs. Doom currently resides in Joliet with her husband, Kyle, and their two children, Oliver (Class of 2031) and Lydia (Class of 2035). In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family. An avid escape room enthusiast, she is always looking forward to a fun game night!
